THE LAST ONE

Hi, as you know this is the last blog I would write  (woooohoooooooooo)
I think my english its level God now whit this blog experience, in fact, now I do my boyfriend's english   homework too (jaja) With this experience my vocabulary has grown, but I keep being shy in the moment I have to speak english in front of people or the teacher. But my English skills have grown notoriously, I have always understood English but my shyness prevents me from practicing it, I think this was a good way to motivate us to write in english and do the class work, because it's not boring.

I still use the dictionary to search for certain words, but I think in gringolandia I would not die without one.

Maybe, in the furute, must be added to this class or "blog method" a correction to the written, because only that way I would know if the things Im writing are correct, maybe now Im writing meaningless paragraphs or without the proper structure and I will never notice.

I thought the topics were very good and fun, but now, like a test in my life, I would like to write a whole story.

music

well... my favorite musical genre is the blues.
When I listen to blues, I can go through different moods: from happiness to sadness or vice versa. Well, that's what this musical genre is about, which originally were stories of injustices experienced by American workers. That's why I like blues, because it's feeling but it can also be protest.

This musical genre originated in the Afro-American community that lived in the United States around 1900. They made public their labor demands through this music characterized by its lyrics and its structure of twelve measures. Structure that has been the base for many bands of the second half of the XX century, ex. Led Zeppelin, Ten years after, Grateful Dead, etc. However, some icons of the blues are: BB King, Freddie King, Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, Jimmy Reed, Robert Johnson, among others.

It has been said on multiple occasions that the blues is a possible derivative of the gospel that African Americans sang in the US, although there is no known "absolute truth"
Finally, the instruments that stand out in the songs of this style are the guitars, harmonics, often saxophone and keyboard. In addition to the characteristic husky voice of the blues singer that excites anyone.

this semester

This year for me was difficult, a lot of personal this happen and I didn't want to go to class.
but Recently in painting classes we started to make landscapes. this was my favorite subject this semester. this clear my mind and I really like it. I started to think that Im really good for this and I am eager to learn new things, practice until everything comes out as I like.
I have this classes 3 times a week. on mondays, wednesdays and friday.
I like it because being outside and look at things as if its were the firs time I see them its inspiring, and... I don't know, I love being alone and just listen to my thoughts, and like a bonus, to be painting.
I don't know if my teacher influences me, but he criticizes a lot my work and that forces me to work and practice more and more.
Im steel learning, but every thing spoken in class stays in my head all the week. like how the light affects the structures or how the nature fights with the structures and you have the mission to register that fight.

so I think this subject save my mind from exploiting.

I studied plastic arts, specifically painting. I studied arts because since I was little I was related and delighted with the subject, so one day I decided and went for it. My career is broad in the world of work, although many people do not know, you can work in museums, as a teacher, in project management, as a visual artist or whatever goal comes to mind.

The advantage of working on this is that you can follow your dreams, even if it is difficult, you will always find a way to fulfill them. More in the case if you are a person who is more sensitive and is not worried about the money you will earn but of being committed to what you do and how you grow as an artist.

Perhaps a disadvantage is not feeling safe, sometimes you are not happy with your work and you feel that everything is falling apart.
Sometimes you feel that everything becomes more difficult because you only depend on you to work, and people believe that it is not a "real job", at least that happens in our country.

My career is not well known at all, most people think that you only waste time doing cartoons or believe you are a "postmodern" who does not know what he does or says. Many people in Chile do not take the weight to the art, I think it is because they do not understand it, in my opinion the teaching about art in our country is poor.

To study and work in the field of the arts you need vocation, perseverance, love for what you do and desire to grow and learn every day.

I do not know how much money I want to earn in my life, obviously I would love to earn a lot, but as long as I work on what I love (and do not die, or commit suicide in the attempt) I will be happy.

favorite artist

well, my favorite artist in this moment is Monet, but depends in whats is going on in my life.
Monet its a french painter from 1870's, its a impressionist artist, or creator of impressionist, who do his work based on the color, without being pretentious and without looking for a perfect or "acceptable" theme. He paint from the light and which color vibrate from the things what he see. without the ambition to be in the best salons and paint what he believes right. I like his work because of the color and the way of putting the material on the frame.
i think that i want to be a little bit like him as a painter, right now in my life i'm looking for references and thing that interest me to use as a painter. Monet inspires me in its use of color, i have always been attracted by what can be seen beyond common objects, how to see the light in a different way, how to see the shadow and all that this implies.

I think my favorite piece of work of Monet its Haystacks at the End of Summer, Morning Effect, 1891.

I saw this paint on a book last year. I like this piece exactly from what I said earlier in these paintings you can clearly see everything thats goes through the mind of Monet, how he can see the color on the surface and how the light acts on the place and the object. I also like the brush stroke. I admired the perfect essence of the sunset, and the atmosphere.

I'm not a person who would die without cellphones or laptops, but I could say that Im a very fan of music and I can not imagine a life without it, so I need things that can play music. I will say that my favorite piece of technology is my radio. It was a gift from my grandfather in my 11th birthday and I keep using it. I love my grandfather, I could say that he was the only person in my family who always understood me. I use my radio every day, in the mornings and after classes, at nights when I do my "homework" or my things. The cd player of my radio is broken and I'm really sorry for that because I have many (a lots) of cd's. despite it is broken I can not replace it, because I love my radio ♥ . My favorite radio station is Radio Futuro, but if by chance i want to listen something in special my radio has mp3 input.

It is really the only thing I use it every day, I can go weeks without the computer, but I can not spend more than a day without listening to music and the radio is the most comfortable for this. without my radio i'd go crazy, or maybe even crazier.

I couldn't find an exactly picture from my beautiful radio but is and old radio, grey and not to big, its sony and it was one of the first radios with mp3 input.

When I was a child I wanted to be a lot of different things, a firefighter, an astronomer, a geologist, a paleontologist and next I wanted to be an archeologist. in that order. but I always liked art, my grandfather liked to paint and I admired him, my dad took me to "the house of culture" in Antofagasta since i was a little child, in that place many children would gather and gave us paintings and racks
Then, when I grew up I thought to continue with art, because it was all I was always outstanding and interested, and finally i decided to applied to Art in Universidad de Chile, this was the only thing on the list.
I hope to have a life as a painter, and i really like the restoration of ancient art.
one of the last things i like and secretly is my dream, someday to make album covers.
