I studied plastic arts, specifically painting. I studied arts because since I was little I was related and delighted with the subject, so one day I decided and went for it. My career is broad in the world of work, although many people do not know, you can work in museums, as a teacher, in project management, as a visual artist or whatever goal comes to mind.
The advantage of working on this is that you can follow your dreams, even if it is difficult, you will always find a way to fulfill them. More in the case if you are a person who is more sensitive and is not worried about the money you will earn but of being committed to what you do and how you grow as an artist.
Perhaps a disadvantage is not feeling safe, sometimes you are not happy with your work and you feel that everything is falling apart.
Sometimes you feel that everything becomes more difficult because you only depend on you to work, and people believe that it is not a "real job", at least that happens in our country.
My career is not well known at all, most people think that you only waste time doing cartoons or believe you are a "postmodern" who does not know what he does or says. Many people in Chile do not take the weight to the art, I think it is because they do not understand it, in my opinion the teaching about art in our country is poor.
To study and work in the field of the arts you need vocation, perseverance, love for what you do and desire to grow and learn every day.
I do not know how much money I want to earn in my life, obviously I would love to earn a lot, but as long as I work on what I love (and do not die, or commit suicide in the attempt) I will be happy.
